As the summer approaches, it’s not just the weather heating up!
Firstly, WiiWare hit title Swords and Soldiers, pictured below, is coming to the PSN later this year. A 2D side-scrolling RTS game, Swords and Soldiers is widely seen as one of the best WiiWare titles produced, and upping everything into HD and offering online play could result in something really quite special. Definitely one to keep an eye on!
3D, Move, expensive games and the PS4. Not all at once, obviously.
It’s been another quiet week on the PS3 front, but the continuing buzz surrounding Sony’s 3D push continues to gather buzziness as Sony outline their plans to bring future firmware updates to the PS3, enabling 3D BluRay as well as support for their upcoming series of 3D cameras. It seems that Sony are going full steam ahead with 3D, I’m assuming with the hope that the new technology will be embraced in the same way HD has been. A dangerous tactic, especially with HD being so recent, but Sony have never been a company to do things half-arsed…
Okay the summer sis now with us as the weather is nice and hot, there is a hose pipe ban in Northern England, but that is not all that has dried up. So has all the good gaming news.
Kane is now able
There has not been much news on the Xbox side of gaming, therefore I have to start with the Kane and Lynch 2 demo, which Brian and I posted a link about. Hope you managed to get a code. If you have not played it yet, try to get a code and download it. It has a single player demo and an arcade mode, as well as online modes. Not bad for a demo, and I have to say that the demo is not too bad either.
Another quite gaming week, but we can still look at a 3D Eyetoy, more Warhawk and a Facebook application.
As E3 has come and gone the news on gaming is a lot quieter, as everyone gears up for the Tokyo Game Show (TGS). However there are a few noteworthy news stories that you should know.
The week after E3 is always something of a come-down, where the only news to be had is the left overs from the show. In a week dominated by the release of the iPhone4, Sony still managed to drop a few interesting crumbs for us to sweep up.
E3 : Bigger than you expected?
This week has seen the E3 conference come and go, so this update will give you the chance to glance at all the main news for the Xbox side of the event.
E3: the biggest games show of the year. The chance to shock, surprise and impress gamers all over the world with huge games and exciting secrets. Unless you tell everyone about them before hand, obviously.
