Robert Bowling (fourzerotwo) is back on twitter after the recent sacking of the two heads at Infinity Ward.

With his first post back he announces that Modern Warfare 2 has just hit 25 million unique players online across all platforms with the 360 with the most players followed closely by the PS3 and then the PC.

Also via twitter he has announced that DLC details for MW2 will be with us this week.

…annnd we JUST hit 25 MILLION unique players on Modern Warfare 2. Insanity! Also, got a lot of #MW2 DLC details coming this week! FINALLY!

The DLC, that will hit the 360 first as a timed exclusive is two map packs, one is rumored to be a “best of” maps from the original Modern Warfare and the other to be all new maps. These packs will hit the PS3 and PC after an unannounced time period.
